Kerry and Janita have been in full time ministry for over 27 years. They commenced in Gympie, then moved to Taigum Gardens in Brisbane, then to Karalee near Ipswich, then out to Chinchilla. They both completed Bible College whilst in Brisbane.
In January 2002, Pastor Kerry, Janita, and their four children - David, Loretta, Andrew and Nathan - moved to Maryborough to become the pastors of Tinana Christian Church.
The Shipp crew has grown and David is now married to Eliza, with their little girl, Heidi. Loretta is now married to Zac, with a baby boy named Micah. Andrew is engaged to Rachel, and will soon be married. Nathan is also a young adult, studying at university.
Having been at Tinana for over ten years now, they have been pleased to not only see their own children mature, but to also watch the church family grow into the thriving and active church it is today. As the church numbers have expanded, a Youth Shed has been built and the main building has been extended to provide extra offices and teaching areas.
David and Eliza have a passion to see people's lives changed and to see them grow in their knowledge of God. They have a delightful little daughter, Heidi, who lights up their lives.
David is the Youth Leader and is a very colourful character! He loves to have fun and enjoy life and hopes to inspire others to join him along the way. David has been in youth leadership for over 10 years and is a Youth Worker and mentor.
As the Music Director, David is ably assisted by his wife Eliza, who is a piano teacher. They both delight in seeing young musicians trained in their talent and worshipping God together.
They have both completed Bible College and are involved in teaching and ministry of the Word. David and Eliza assist the senior pastor and church leadership with many areas of church life.
